Nick Ivanoff is a structural aerospace engineer at Pratt-Whitney. He is a living historian with the Blue and Gray Hospital Association, Company F 14th Connecticut, and the Society of Civil War Surgeons. He is a long time member of the American Battlefield Trust. He participates in various living history activities and preservation projects in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. In 2018 Company F 14th Connecticut restored the 17th Connecticut flagpole on Barlow’s Knoll at Gettysburg National Military Park. This preservation project received a Connecticut League of History Organizations Award of Merit. Nick and his wife Carolyn continue as part of the Team Barlow’s Knoll, a group of volunteers committed to keeping the National Colors and Connecticut State Flag flying monthly on Barlow’s Knoll, Gettysburg National Battlefield on the restored flagpole.
