Maryanne Ludy is a retired ARNP that joined the group about 5 years ago. She enjoys portraying Civil War nurses and describing their roles to the public.
During her fifty years as a nurse, she worked in many fields of nursing including military (Navy Nurse Corps), hospital, public health, and nursing education. She became a nurse practitioner in the 90s and worked part-time in Florida before moving to Western Maryland 10 years ago and retiring.
She has spent her free time volunteering at many historical venues such as the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, Seminary Ridge Museum and Blue and Gray Hospital Association.
